In Chapter 4 part II, Huxley states, "Each time he found himself looking on the level, instead of downward, into a Delta's face, he felt humiliated...the mockery made him feel an outsider; and feeling an outsider he behaved like one, which increased the prejudice against him and intensified the contempt and hostility aroused by his physical defects" (Huxley 69).
This shows that society can look down on individuals making others feel they are higher then him or her and in this case he feels as the Delta is a superior individual as he is not. Today us humans are discovered on different levels. For example; Alpha, Beta, Delta, Gamma etc. giving individuals the insecurity of not being good enough to society.
