In chapters 10-13 there is noticeable propaganda to try and pull the viewer into believing in the new world. "The hive of industry, as the director was fond of calling it, was in the full buzz of work" (Huxley 136). The Hive of Industry is a phrase loaded with propaganda. Industry is the leading force of development in society today, so calling the New World the capital of industry makes it seem like nothing is better. "Every one was busy, everything in ordered motion." Also to work in conditions like the New World he describes how there can not be just one person to run everything, they need as many contributions as possible to make the world a better place.
"Why was that old fellow [Shakespeare] such a marvelous propaganda technician? Because he had so many insane, excruciating things to get excited about. You've got to be hurt and upset; otherwise you can't think of the really good, penetrating X-rayish phrases... No, it won't do. We need some other kind of madness and violence. But what? What? Where can one find it?... I don't know" (Huxley 169). Shakespeare is a man that told society what they needed to hear. When a group is disagreeing or disappointed, they are always looking for someone to step up and give them what they need. Nobody is brave enough to take this position because they feel there view isn't strong enough to make people follow, but it is the one's who are different and the one's who are not afraid to take chances that make it to the top.
