In Chapters 7-9, the Brave New World portrays new propaganda. This interesting type of propaganda has to do with brainwashing and telling society things that they have no choice but to believe. They believe it because they are forced into it. The choice is no longer your freedom, but in the hands of someone else. "But cleanliness is next to fordliness," she insisted... "But these people have never heard of our Ford, and they aren't civilized"(Huxley 105). This just goes to show the brainwashing taking place. She is talking about how other people are not civilized, and the only civil way to live is the new world, because she doesn't know what else exists in the real world. She is completely brainwashed into thinking that there is no other way to live besides the New World. "Civilization is Sterilization, I used to say to them"(Huxley 114). Again the thoughts here is that the new world's civilization is the only true way to live. It is clean, stable and is the only way the people have learned to live.
"From the suffocating number of billboards and murals to the postcards and pamphlets and newspaper to everything on TV, the North Korean people are forced to live and breathe North Korean pride around the clock"(waitbutwhy.com). This is a perfect example of the type of brainwashing that takes place in the new world. In North Korea the people basically think that there home is the world. The people have zero voice about religion and politics. All of the major decisions within the country are made by the leaders, and nobody questions. Nobody has access to internet, and most of the people don't even know the internet exists. The fact that the New World can even relate to North Korea makes you doubt future society.
