John's light bulb in his brain finally went off in this chapter. He realizes life in the Brave New World might be "Stable and organized," but saying those words sounds better than actually doing it. "But I don't want comfort. I want god, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin"(Huxley 215). He finally realizes that the New World is not the true natural way of human society. He wants to make his choices, if he makes a mistake he works hard to get out of it. He won't rely on drugs to get him out of a bad situation. The future will not be known, it will be John's freedom to choose the path he wants.
"John has chosen to live away from this world. John has come to and what his current living conditions are"(Bnwquotes.com). The author of this webpage gives a clear description of what john was thinking. He knew the way he was living was not natural human nature and he had to make a change. The authors and my opinion about John are pretty much identical.
